Vernissage Tonight for ‘Metamorphosen’ Art Photography Exhibition in Gmünd Austria.
Patrick Richmond Nicholas inaugurate tonight his Art Photography Exhibition in Gmünd Austria.
Patrick Nicholas has been invited to exhibit a selection of his work at the Foto Galerie in Gmünd, Carinthia in Austria. The show, ‘Metamorphosen’, his Art Photography Exhibition in Gmünd Austria, opens 29 April and lasts till 28 June 2016.
Gmünd is a small picturesque medieval town of only 2500, but hosts a variety of cultural and artistic events from April till October with visitors coming mainly from Southern Germany, Austria and Northern Italy. In 2000 it won The European Village Renewal prize, in fact it is a model of how a small place can revitalise the entire area through cultural activities – if only my adopted home Orvieto could follow Gmünd’s shining example!
The little and picturesque town of Gmünd lies on the edge of the Hohe Tauern and Nockberge Biosphären parks and was awarded the European Village Renewal Prize in 2000 for the diversity and quality of its cultural offering. Gmünd is one of the liveliest, most diverse towns in Carinthia, Austria. Contemporary art is shown in the wonderfully maintained mediaeval streets and squares of the town and you will be surprised by the variety and quality of the cultural offering you can find in Gmünd.
A heartfelt welcome from Gmünd. At my arrival I found winter has returned. I was here in December 2014 and there wasn’t a flake of snow; El Niño plays strange tricks. Freezing Frühling in Gmünd, but ever so picturesque. The posters of my Art Photography Exhibition in Gmünd Austria, “Metamorphosen”, are on the street – but only second billing to Goya which opens in mid-May.
